We first off strip your head off and inspect the bores for damage, if all is okay at this point we carrry on and remove the sump and remove the pistons and rods.
We then send the cylinder head of for reconditioning, this unfortunately can take up to 7-14 working days depending on our machnisist work loads
In the meantime we will wash all the remaining parts and start de glazing the bores with our honing tool, we can then start measuing clearances and carefully file piston ring gaps to factory tolerances.
Once all the measuring is done we can then start re installing the piston and rods
Once the cyinlder head is back we can then reassemble the top half of the engine
When the engine is up and running again we then strap your MINI to the dyno and start bedding the piston rings in for 20 mins a time under part throttle conditions, this beds the pistons into the newly deglazed bores for proper sealing
